Nesbitt & Parrinello is pleased to announce that Giorgia Shields has been elevated to Director. As a member of the N&P team, Giorgia has worked to elect the first Black woman Mayor of Los Angeles and to support pro-choice women candidates across the country. She has also worked to flip Georgia’s Public Service Commission with historic Democratic victories and expose school board members pushing book bans and anti-LGBTQ+ policies in multiple states.

Giorgia is excited to continue her work with N&P in 2026 and beyond. She looks forward to supporting reproductive justice in the South, labor organizing across the country, and efforts to defend our democracy through strategic opposition research.

Giorgia has been with Nesbitt & Parrinello since 2022. She holds an MA in Sociology from Northeastern University, an MA in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Texas, and a BA in Sociology from Georgia State University. A proud Southerner, Giorgia lives in Atlanta with her husband and two dogs.
