What the Financial Analysis Module covers
This module reviews a candidate's financial interests, campaign finances, and potential conflicts of interest across the preceding 10 years. It extends and deepens the financial baseline included in the Core Book.
Campaign finance analysis
Analysis of campaign finance records, including fundraising history, donor patterns, questionable contributions, disbursements, and funding sources within the last 10 years
Financial disclosure review
Review of required disclosure forms for possible omissions within the last 10 years
Investment portfolio assessment: Evaluation of investments and potential conflicts with political positions or votes
Nonprofit and foundation connections: Assessment of charitable ties and potential issues including Form 990 review
Enhances other modules: When selected alongside the Executive Office, Legislative History, or Judicial Experience modules, this module extends the financial review period from the previous cycle to a full 10-year window for conflict-of-interest analysis.
