In 2024, Nesbitt & Parrinello provided comprehensive research and tracking services to support the North Carolina Democratic Party’s critical state legislative campaigns. With Republicans holding a supermajority that allowed them to override the Democratic governor’s vetoes, breaking this grip on power was essential for protecting democratic governance and reproductive freedom in the state.
Our work included producing full-scope opposition research books for key competitive races and deploying in-person tracking services to monitor Republican candidates’ public appearances and statements. The tracking operation captured crucial moments in support of campaign messaging, while our research books provided comprehensive profiles of Republican incumbents and challengers.
The program achieved its primary objective: the North Carolina Democratic Party successfully broke the Republican supermajority in the state legislature.
