In 2022, Nesbitt & Parrinello assisted the Damon Connolly campaign in a Marin County race for a California Assembly seat against Sara Aminzadeh in which both candidates identified themselves as progressives. With limited public backgrounds for both candidates, N&P research successfully defined Aminzadeh as an absentee public servant through painstaking analysis of her voting record on the California Coastal Commission. Our research also revealed repeated falsehoods by Aminzadeh, including a breach of her pledge to reject fossil fuel contributions. N&P research made the difference in the race, with Connolly narrowly defeating Aminzadeh by a 52-28 margin.
