In 2022, Nesbitt & Parrinello performed research against a far-right Congressional candidate in Colorado on behalf of a national Democratic organization.
Our work helped to highlight the Republican candidate’s extremism, as well as his attempts to hide his far-right beliefs, including outright election denialism, from voters. Our work, which examined the candidate’s numerous appearances on talk radio and his behavior on right-wing social media sites like Parler and TruthSocial, revealed a consistent anti-abortion record and bigoted positions against immigrants and LGBTQ+ people. Ultimately, even though the district carried a partisan lean of just D+4, the Democratic candidate won by nearly 15 percentage points.
